<p>A disclosed electrophotographic image forming apparatus comprises: a toner buffer unit receiving a toner from a toner cartridge and supplying the toner to a developing device as arranged between the toner cartridge and the developing device; and a toner remaining amount detecting unit. The toner buffer unit is equipped with a first buffer unit connected to the toner cartridge, and a first carrying member equipped with a carrying blade to transfer the toner in a radial direction as installed in a rotation axis is installed in the first buffer unit. The toner buffer unit includes an elevating plate elevated in accordance with the level of the toner as installed inside the first buffer unit, and a sensor unit detecting an elevated position of the elevating plate. The elevating unit is placed apart from the carrying blade in an axial direction of the rotation axis.</p> |
