<p>A navigation device is provided. The navigation device includes an input interface; a processor; and a display controllable by the processor. The input interface is additionally configured to enable a user to input a search text and to select a reference location. In at least one embodiment, the navigation device further includes an over the air (OTA) search module for generating a server call message including the reference location and the search text for transmission to a remote map search server and for receiving a search results reply message from such a remote map search server based on the reference location and the search text. The processor is responsive to the OTA search module to control the display to display the search results to the user.</p> |
