A rotor for turbomachines with shrouded blades comprising a row of a plurality of blades covered by an external ring, coaxial to said row of blades; the external ring being composed of a plurality of sectors, commonly referred to as shrouds, which are adjacent to one another and transversely and circumferentially attached to the end of respective blades; a damping member being arranged so as to straddle a respective pair of adjacent sectors and being pushed, in use, against radially internal surfaces of the sectors of the pair of adjacent sectors.

A rotor for turbomachines comprising a row of a plurality of blades and an external ring comprising a plurality of sectors adjacent to one another and each of which is fixed to the free end of a respective pair of adjacent blades; and a plurality of damping members coupled to the external ring to dampen the vibrations of the blades; each damping member being arranged radially inside the external ring between the blades of a respective pair of adjacent blades and having a radially external surface, which is arranged so as to be in contact with each one of adjacent sectors, fixed to the blades of the respective pair of adjacent blades, wherein the damping members are coupled to one of two adjacent sectors by forming the damping members with front and rear strips with the rear strip comprised of portions that extend generally along a length of the blade and have spaced apart coupling members adjacent opposing ends of the rear strip that respectively connect with a portion of opposite edges of the one adjacent sector.
