A system and method for recovery of hydrate inhibitor from a fluid comprising hydrate inhibitor, water, mineral salt ions and salt particles is disclosed. Wherein, the system comprises: —an indirectly heated paddle dryer with a fluid inlet, at least one vapor outlet and a dry salt outlet —a vapor separation unit in fluid communication with the at least one vapor outlet for separation of the vapor to recover the hydrate inhibitor.

1. A method for recovering a hydrate inhibitor from a fluid comprising water, the hydrate inhibitor, mineral salt ions and salt particles, wherein the hydrate inhibitor is mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) or glycol with other substituents, and the method comprises
evaporating water and the hydrate inhibitor from the fluid with an indirectly heated paddle dryer, thereby obtaining vapor and a dry solid salt residue; and recovering the hydrate inhibitor from the vapor.
