PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, a printing system, a control method, and a program capable of more efficiently performing printing processing by avoiding the waiting in front of the printer as much as possible when a user performs the printing.SOLUTION: A printer calculates a distance between a mobile device 105 possessed by a user of an interruption printing job additionally inputted and a compound machine 101 (distance A) and a distance between the mobile device 105 possessed by a user of a printing job in practice which is already practiced on the compound machine 101 and the compound machine 101 (distance B). Therein, the interruption job is practiced when the distance A is smaller than the distance B.
