PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a piezoelectric element with accuracy.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element drive circuit charging a piezoelectric element by a step-up circuit, and discharging the piezoelectric element by an operation of a switching element connected in parallel to the piezoelectric element, includes a charge controlling circuit. The charge controlling circuit discharges the piezoelectric element on the basis of a control signal for discharging the piezoelectric element, and stops the charge to the piezoelectric element by the step-up circuit.
