PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container: which has no need to increase the thickness of a foam heat insulating layer; which has no deterioration of transportation efficiency due to the increasing of the thickness; which hardly causes a user to feel hotness when held in his or her hand; and where the occurrence of poor appearance due to excessive foaming is prevented, and to provide a production method of the paper container.SOLUTION: In a paper container 20 comprising: a container body 3 consisting of a trunk 1 and a bottom plate 2; and a foam insulating layer 4 being disposed at the outer surface side of the trunk 1 and consisting of a foaming part 4a and a foaming suppressing part 4b, the foam insulating layer 4 is produced by heating a thermoplastic resin layer having a foaming suppressing ink coating part and a ratio of the thickness of the foaming suppressing part 4b to the thickness of the foaming part 4a is 25% or less. |
