摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing a stator core for rotary electric machines, capable of reducing work hardening in a punching process and reducing an iron loss generated in the stator core during energization.SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for manufacturing a stator core for rotary electric machines comprises: a die 4 including a mounting plane 12 arranged with a steel sheet 2; a punch 8 for punching a stator core formation member 20 into a predetermined shape from the steel sheet 2 arranged on the die 4; and a shear 14 formed in the die 4 or the punch 8 so as to be depressed or projected by a predetermined depth to a plane parallel to the mounting plane 12 in a predetermined extending direction parallel to the mounting plane 12. The shear 14 is formed in an extending direction intersecting an edge relatively high in an increase rate of magnetic reluctance being a rate increasing a magnetic reluctance in the whole stator core formation member when a magnetic reluctance is increased in a portion from the edge to a constant distance, out of edges constituting the outer periphery of the stator core formation member 20 at a position faced to the edge.</p>
