<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus that can suppress the outflow of lubricant from a rubbing surface of a nip member.SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 includes a nip plate 130 that has, on a surface opposite to an inner surface 110A of a fixing belt 110, a central area 131A corresponding to a range rubbed with the fixing belt 110 in the sheet conveyance direction, and an upstream side area 132A and downstream side area 133A each extending from the edge on the upstream side and downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction across the central area 131A; at least in one of the upstream side and downstream side areas 132A and 133A, a holding part LR is formed having a holding power for holding lubricant larger than that of the central area 131A.</p> |
