<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal aligning agent wherein the rubbing resistance of a film is compatible at a high level with the excellent electric characteristics (high voltage holding ratio and inhibited residual voltage) of an obtained liquid crystal alignment film. The liquid crystal aligning agent comprises: (A) a polymer having a structure derived from diamine having carboxyl groups; and (B) a polymer having a structure derived from diamine having tertiary nitrogen atoms, wherein MA/MB, which is the ratio of the molar number MA of carboxyl groups in polymer (A) to the molar number MB of tertiary nitrogen atoms in polymer (B), ranges from 0.15 to 3.50.</p> |
