PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volute pump in which pump efficiency is greatly improved, and its contour is downsized in comparison to a conventional volute pump.SOLUTION: A volute pump includes: a rotational impeller 2 that is pivoted in a pump casing; many guide vanes 3 that is provided to the outer peripheral part of the rotational impeller so as to be fixed to the casing; and an involute-shaped volute chamber 4 that is provided to the outer peripheral part of the guide vane, and in which the cross sectional area of a fluid passage gradually increases with an involute winding start part as a base point. |
