<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for display, capable of suppressing electrification in the manufacturing process of a display panel, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a glass substrate 10 for display comprises the steps of: manufacturing a glass substrate 10; and performing surface treatment on one glass surface of main surfaces 12 and 14 of the glass substrate 10 to form surface unevenness. Projections having a height of 0.8 nm or more from the surface roughness medium surface of the surface unevenness are dispersedly provided. A proportion of the area of the projections occupied in that of the glass surface is 0.5-5%, and the surface treatment is performed so that an area incremental ratio is at least 0.2%.</p> |
