<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint which can secure the seal performance of a boot, and is low in cost.SOLUTION: A constant velocity universal joint comprises an outside joint member having an opening at one end, and an inside joint member for transmitting torque between the outside joint member and the inside joint member via a torque transmission member while permitting angular displacement, and a small-diameter end part 62 of a boot 60 which blocks the opening of the outside joint member is fastened and fixed to an external peripheral face 51 of a shaft 50 extending from the inside joint member by using a boot band 72. A recess 52 is formed at the external peripheral face 51 of the shaft 50, a bulged part 64 fit into the recess 52 is formed at the small-diameter end part 62 of the boot 60, and a protrusion 53 which point-contacts with the bulged part 64 at an axial cross section is arranged in the recess 52 by the fastening of the boot band 72.</p> |
