PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a liquid phase sintered aluminum alloy member capable of efficiently obtaining a liquid phase sintered aluminum alloy member having high strength and excellent dimensional accuracy and to provide a high-density liquid phase sintered aluminum alloy member.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a liquid phase sintered aluminum alloy member, the method comprising: a step of molding a raw material powder containing an aluminum alloy powder which contains at least one element selected from Si, Mg, Cu and Zn and the balance comprising Al and inevitable impurities to obtain a molded body; a step of subjecting the molded body to liquid phase sintering to obtain a sintered body; a step of subjecting the sintered body to a heat treatment to obtain a softened material; a step of subjecting the softened material to sizing to obtain a straightened material; and a step of subjecting the straightened material to a heat treatment to obtain an aged material when a precipitate is precipitated.
