PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the rigidity of a support wall by a structure which can avoid the enlargement of a cylinder head, and to make a connecting pin and a pressing rod abut on each other, in a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine in which the connecting pin which can connect both lock arms is slidably fit to the first and second lock arms which are adjacently aligned, and the pressing rod having a pressing part which abuts on a pressed part formed at one end part of the connecting pin is movably supported to the support wall which is arranged at the cylinder head while opposing the first locker arm from a side opposite to the second locker arm.SOLUTION: An accommodation hole 113 which makes a pressing part 104a of a pressing rod 104 abut on a pressed pat 97a of a connecting pin 97 is formed in a first locker arm 71 so as to permit the relative movement of the pressing rod 104 with respect to the oscillation of the first locker arm 71. |
