PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope in which a diameter of the endoscope requiring airtightness can be reduced and in which wire connection work between a cable and a connector is easy, and to provide a method for producing the endoscope.SOLUTION: A first cylindrical body 110 and a second cylindrical body 120 constituting an airtight container relatively move and expand/contract, and are contracted to extend a cable 160 from a base end part of the second cylindrical body 120. Thereby, wire connection work between the cable 160 and an airtight connector 130 is allowed. By extending the first cylindrical body 110 and the second cylindrical body 120 after the wire connection work between the cable 160 and the airtight connector 130 ends, an excess length of the cable 160 is stored inside the second cylindrical body 120, and the airtight connector 130 can be engaged with the base end part of the second cylindrical body 120. |
