PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection control system and a merging unit that can reduce a possibility of performing an unnecessary operation even when a failure occurs in hardware in a MU.SOLUTION: The protection control system comprises: a first analog information input section that digitally converts an electricity amount as first electricity amount information; a second analog information input section that digitally converts an electricity amount as second electricity amount information; a protection control device that acquires the first electricity amount information and outputs main trip information on the basis of relay characteristics of either one of a current element and a voltage element; a transmission processing section that acquires the main trip information; a relay calculation section that outputs FD trip information on the basis of relay characteristics different from the relay characteristics of the protection control device, of the current element or the voltage element; and a trip command output section that outputs a trip command when acquiring the FD trip information and the main trip information. |
