<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer capacitor having high capacity and high breakdown voltage characteristics, that can be used as a main capacitor for flash emission of a xenon discharge tube.SOLUTION: A multilayer capacitor includes a laminate of a plurality of dielectric layers, a plurality of capacity electrodes 3 and floating electrodes 4 disposed alternately in the laminate while holding the dielectric layer, and first and second external electrodes provided on the side face of the laminate and connected electrically with the capacity electrodes 3 but insulated electrically from the floating electrodes 4. The capacity electrode 3 is configured to include a first capacity electrode 31 where a plurality of first capacity electrode slits 31a, 31b are formed, and a second capacity electrode 32 where a plurality of second capacity electrode slits 32a, 32b are formed.</p> |
