PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting abnormality of an electricity storage module capable of detecting the presence of abnormality in connection of a bus bar by distinguishing it from deterioration in an electrode.SOLUTION: A method of detecting abnormality in an electricity storage module 1 detects abnormality in connection of bus bars 12 in the electricity storage module 1 composed of a plurality of electricity storage devices 11, each being connected by the bus bars 12. The resistance value of the electricity storage module 1 is detected while constant current charging is performed. An instantaneous resistance value just after the start of the constant current charging and a diffusion resistance value after an elapse of a constant time period from the start of the constant current charging are extracted among detected resistance values. Then, the ratio of the instantaneous resistance value to the diffusion resistance value is compared with a predetermined threshold value, and whether there is abnormality in connection of the bus bars 12 is determined by distinguishing it from deterioration in an electrode. |
