WINDING APPARATUS AND WINDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding apparatus capable of winding a wire around a reel having a complicated shape.SOLUTION: A winding apparatus comprises: a reel; a winding core to which the reel is fixed; a pressing section for holding a wire between the reel and the pressing section; moving means for relatively moving the pressing section along first through third axes perpendicular to one another with respect to the winding core; first rotating means for relatively rotating the pressing section around fourth and fifth axes which are set with respect to the winding core and are perpendicular to each other with respect to the winding core; second rotating means; and a controller. The second rotating means relatively rotates the pressing section around a sixth axis parallel to one axis other than two axes of the first through third axes when the winding core is placed at an initial position where the fourth and fifth axes are parallel to any two axes of the first through third axes with respect to the winding core. The controller controls operation of the moving means and operation of the first and second rotating means.
