<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control exposure when displaying a through image or capturing a moving image.SOLUTION: An exposure control apparatus comprises: a face detector 10 which detects a face area within an imaging screen; an exposure arithmetic unit 7 which performs exposure arithmetic by switching between a first photometric value obtained by measuring a beam from a subject and a second photometric value relating to the face area of the subject, when a face detecting function is on; and a smoothing processor 9 which performs smoothing processing by the combination of linear interpolation processing and low-pass filter processing of a small number of taps, on the first and second photometric values.</p> |
