PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an imaging apparatus in accordance with a user's own will by allowing the user of the imaging apparatus to appropriately recognize an operation instruction from external communication equipment.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 2 includes: an imaging unit 21 which images a subject and produces image data; a first display unit 23 which displays an image corresponding to the image data; a first communication unit 25 which receives operation instruction information relating to an operation instruction from an external communication device 3; an image processing unit 22 which applies image processing to the image data after the first communication unit 25 receives the operation instruction information, and produces processed image data corresponding to the operation instruction based on the operation instruction information; and a first display control unit 282 which displays a processed image corresponding to the processed image data on the first display unit 23 and calls on the user to perform an operation corresponding to the operation instruction based on the operation instruction information.
