PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous ink composition superior in storage stability of particles with low viscosity, a writing property over time and drawing line quality to a conventional thickening gelatinizer such as xanthan gum, and a writing instrument containing the ink composition for writing instruments.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous ink composition containing 0.05 to 1.5 mass% of cellulose oxide having a number average fiber diameter of 2 to 150 nm and having an intrinsic viscosity value calculated by the Casson formula of 10 mPa s or less. |
