OPTICAL FILM, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE OPTICAL FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure sufficient flexibility in the case that a circularly polarizing plate and a touch panel sensor film are integrated to constitute an optical film.SOLUTION: An optical film 3 is provided in which a circularly polarizing plate 6 and a touch panel sensor film 7 are laminated. The circularly polarizing plate 6 includes a linearly polarizing plate 15 and a 1/4 wavelength plate 17 that are laminated. The 1/4 wavelength plate 17 includes at least a 1/2 wavelength phase difference layer 20 giving a phase difference of a 1/2 wavelength to transmitted light and a 1/4 wavelength phase difference layer 21 giving a phase difference of a 1/4 wavelength to transmitted light. The optical film is attached to the linearly polarizing plate 15 or the touch panel sensor film 7 by a transfer method.
