PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage source DC power supply device having an inverter which suppresses current supply from the inverter to a load in the event of arcing.SOLUTION: When a DC output of the voltage source DC power supply device is stopped/recovered, in the stop phase, a chopper section is isolated from the inverter to suppress an excess current to the load in the event of arcing, expedite arc extinction, and hold a current flowing in the chopper section as a circulating current, and at a later restart of the inverter, the circulating current thus held is supplied to the load to reduce a delay in DC power supply to the load as the DC output of the voltage source DC power supply device is recovered. |
