PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood compatible article and a method for producing the article.SOLUTION: This method includes: providing a substrate; and forming a rough surface on the substrate. The rough surface includes a plurality of three-dimensionally curved characteristics in which each has a curvature radius below about 50 nm. The surface includes the characteristics sufficient per unit area in such a manner that, when the substrate is exposed to blood, it limits the blood solidification activity on the substrate, and also, the number of blood platelets stuck to the surface is limited. |
