PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a navigation system capable of guiding a route that has high probability of being more appropriate for a user.SOLUTION: A navigation system performs: normal travel route setup processing for setting, as a normal travel route, a route with the highest frequency in travelling of a user during a predetermined determination period, among plural candidate routes that have a common start point and an end point; optimal route determination processing for determining a different route that is different from the normal travel route as an optimal route if a difference between a congestion status of the different route and that of the normal travel route satisfies a predetermined equal determination condition, in a case where the user has traveled the different route selected among the candidate routes; and optimal route guidance processing for obtaining congestion information related to the optimal route in a case where a guidance route for guiding the user is not set, and for providing guidance information that recommends traveling on the optimal route if the congestion information satisfies a predetermined guidance determination condition. |
