PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is arranged so that an additive agent-originating coating film is formed on an additional active face of a negative electrode active material resulting from the expansion thereof, and which contributes to the enhancement of various battery characteristics.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises the steps of: enclosing, in an outer sheath 5 formed from a laminate film, a flat power-generation device 4 arranged by laminating a positive electrode plate 41 and a negative electrode plate 42 with a separator 43 put therebetween together with a nonaqueous electrolyte including an excessive electrolytic component and at least one electrolyte additive agent; and airtightly sealing the outer sheath 5 to form a battery 1; and performing, on the battery 1, a charging process including at least an initial charging step with a pressure applied to a flat face of the power-generation device from outside the outer sheath 5. |
