PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress overspeed during load rejection in a steam turbine.SOLUTION: A steam turbine overspeed prevention system includes bypass means and a valve. The bypass means connects an intermediate stage part of a steam turbine and a condenser together. The valve, which is provided midway through the bypass means, interrupts the bypass means during a normal operation, and leads residual steam in the steam turbine to the condenser by bringing the bypass means into a communication state during load rejection. |
