PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial flow waterwheel power generator capable of improving the generation efficiency by suppressing the blade efficiency loss in a runner as much as possible.SOLUTION: Axial flow waterwheel power generators 10 and 20 of an embodiment, each comprises: a dynamo 5; a turbine blade having a runner 3 for generating the drive power of the dynamo by converting water stream kinetic energy into rotational energy; and a revolving shaft 6 for transferring the drive power generated by the runner 3 to the dynamo 5, in which the runner 3 is constituted of a first blade area 3a configured so that the chord length becomes an optimal value at each radius position from the rotation center of the turbine blade in the values obtained from the blade element kinetic momentum theory, and a second blade area 3b located on the blade tip end side 31 of the first blade area 3a and configured so that the chord length becomes lower than the optimal value at each radius position from the rotation center of the turbine blade in the values obtained from the blade element kinetic momentum theory. |
