PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve estimation accuracy of transportation means without requiring positional information on passengers in a vehicle.SOLUTION: A transportation means estimation device includes: a position history storage unit for storing position history information in which a position of a user and a positioning time are associated with each other; a traffic spot storage unit for storing traffic spot information in which transportation means and a traffic spot where stop of the transportation means is scheduled are associated with each other; a stay period extraction unit for extracting, from the position history information, a stay period in which the user stays at a certain location; a stay location estimation unit for estimating the traffic spot where the user stays in the stay period extracted by the stay period extraction unit, on the basis of the traffic spot information; and a section transportation means estimation unit for estimating transportation means used in a movement period on the basis of the transportation means associated with, in the traffic spot information, the traffic spot estimated by the stay location estimation unit with respect to the stay period included in the movement period extracted from the position history information. |
