<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of reliably shaking down foreign matters contained in exhaust gas from a catalyst.SOLUTION: A catalyst 12 is held by an inner guide cylinder 13, and the inner guide cylinder 13 is supported via flanges 15, 17 and a spring 21 by a catalyst case 6. Even when the inner guide cylinder 13 is mixed into exhaust gas, the up-and-down movement of the catalyst 12 with the dynamic pressure of the exhaust gas and the shaking motion of a vehicle results in foreign matters 22 to be gradually moved down inside the catalyst 12 and shaken down from the catalyst 12. Because of no accumulation of the foreign matters 22, the function of the catalyst 12 can be maintained and a reduction in the output and in the fuel efficiency due to insufficient intake air can also be prevented.</p> |
