<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an engine, for appropriately improving noise performance of the engine through the control of a combustion state thereof.SOLUTION: A fuel injection timing model which provides a fuel injection timing appropriate to the operating condition of an engine 10 and a peak timing model which prescribes for each operating condition of the engine 10, a target value for a peak timing at which a pressure rise rate in the cylinder of the engine 10 is maximum, are stored into a storage part 2. A predicted value of the peak timing when injecting fuel at the fuel injection timing calculated on the basis of the fuel injection timing model is calculated by a calculation part 3. Besides, the fuel injection timing is corrected by a correction part 4, on the basis of the target value calculated on the basis of the peak timing model and the predicted value calculated by the calculation part 3, and a timing for injecting the fuel is controlled by a control part 5, using the corrected fuel injection timing.</p> |
