<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assist system of a vehicle capable of predicting whether there is a possibility that deflective sliding down may occur in a vehicle which is traveling on a slope.SOLUTION: When a vehicle travels on a slope, a control unit of the vehicle computes estimated values ZI and ZO of contact forces onto a road surface of two mountain-side wheels which are wheels located on a mountain side on a slope out of front wheels and rear wheels of the vehicle. If a state value D that is a difference obtained by subtracting a braking/driving force T, which is applied to the mountain-side wheels, from total contact force ZT corresponding to the sum of the estimated values ZI and ZO of the contact force falls below a first threshold DTh1, the control unit predicts that there is a possibility that deflective sliding down of the vehicle may occur.</p> |
