A monitoring system for misbehavior using a POS terminal and a method thereof are provided to check videos of a CCTV camera with a high probability of cash embezzlement, by comprising: the POS terminal (110) which, when an order cancellation, order change, cash payment, and cash box forcible opening happen after order information is entered, sends relevant event data to a DVR (120); the CCTV camera (130) which sends video data of the POS terminal (110) to the DVR (120) in real time; and the DVR (120) which, when the event data (monitoring information data) are received from the POS terminal (110), searches the video data, extracts video frame data of the video data that agrees with the transmission time of the monitoring information data received from the POS terminal (110), performs the mapping of the extracted video frame data and the monitoring information data made into a code that are received from the POS terminal (110), and saves the same. The POS terminal (110) searches the monitoring information data coming under the search item entered when a search item is entered, extracts the agreeing monitoring information data, indicates the detailed information of the monitoring information data whose mapping is done at the extracted search item, and outputs a play order to the DVR, when an item serial number to be played is selected at the indicated detailed information, for a video to be played from the video frame data whose mapping is done at the selected item serial number. |
