摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, capable of reducing a NOx exhaust amount from all cylinders even when there is a variation of EGR distribution between the cylinders.SOLUTION: The control device applied for an internal combustion engine 1a which includes a plurality of cylinders 2, an intake passage 4 branching to each of the plurality of cylinders 2, an EGR device 10 for supplying part of exhaust gas as EGR gas to the further upstream side than the branch position of the intake passage 4, and a water injection valve 3 for supplying water into each of the cylinders 2, the water injection valve 3 being capable of regulating the water to be supplied with respect to each of the cylinders 2, and controls the EGR gas to be supplied thereto and the water to be supplied with respect to each of the cylinders 2. The control device controls the EGR device 10 so that an EGR amount in the cylinder 2 where the EGR gas is most distributed, out of the plurality of cylinders 2, becomes an appropriate value to reduce the NOx exhaust amount, and controls the water injection valve 3 to supply the water whose amount depends on the EGR amount insufficient for the appropriate value, into each of the other cylinders 2.
