PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of quickly searching a block of minimum erasing frequency from a semiconductor memory, along with a searching method for erasing frequency in a semiconductor memory.SOLUTION: A read address signal consisting of a series of each address of a block is generated according to a search start command. By supplying the read address signal to a block management memory, a series of erasing frequency data pieces corresponding to the blocks is continuously read from the block management memory. In a case where the erasing frequency data piece that is read from the block management memory means an erasing frequency that is smaller than a minimum erasing frequency data piece, the erasing frequency data piece is taken out and held, and is outputted as the minimum erasing frequency data piece, and, the read address signal is taken in and held, and the address represented by the read address signal is outputted as a minimum erasing frequency address. |
