PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily generate index information on video data or sound data stored in storage means.SOLUTION: A distribution system includes: first generation means that obtains content data indicated in a predetermined description language to generate video (sound) data; conversion means that converts a data format of the video (sound) data, which is generated by the first generation means, into a data format allowing distribution to a communication terminal via a communication network; distribution means that distributes the video (sound) data converted by the conversion means, to the communication terminal; first storage means that stores the video (sound) data converted by the conversion means; second generation means that generates index information on the video (sound) data stored in the storage means, on the basis of the information obtained from the first generation means; and second storage means that stores the index information generated by the second generation means, in the storage means. |
