PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate having a structure that facilitates adjustment of a brightness distribution.SOLUTION: A light guide plate includes a sheet-shaped base part having light transmissivity. The light guide plate obtains a surface light source by sequentially emitting light from a light emission part formed on one surface of the base part while guiding light entering from a light incidence surface that is one end surface of the base part. The light guide plate has, on the other surface of the base part, a rear surface prism part in which a plurality of unit rear surface prisms each being made of a pair of a concave portion and a convex portion arranged in a light guide direction are arrayed in the light guide direction. The concave portion has an inclined surface with respect to the light guide direction. The length of the inclined surface of the concave portion in the light guide direction in at least one of the plurality of unit rear surface prisms is different from the length of an inclined surface of the concave portion in the light guide direction in another unit rear surface prism.
