PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting the start of the replacement work of consumables such as toner even when the replacement work of the consumables is started in a power saving mode.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 200 having a plurality of devices to be driven by power is configured to shift to a standby mode in which image formation is immediately executable and a power saving mode in which power consumption is more suppressed than the standby mode by stopping a part of the plurality of devices. In the image forming apparatus 200, a door (194) is disposed such that the inside is exposed when the door is opened, and a door sensor 191 for detecting the opening/closing of the door is arranged. The image forming apparatus 200 includes an I/O interface 152 for shifting to the standby mode when the opening of the door (194) is detected by the door sensor 191 in the power saving mode. |
