PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retardation film having no retardation unevenness or no optical axis deviation even in the case that an acrylic resin base material is used.SOLUTION: A retardation film includes: a long acrylic resin base material having protrusions in at least both ends in a short side direction of one surface; a functional layer, on the side of the one surface having the protrusions, including one or more kinds of layers selected from groups composed of a hard coat layer, an antiglare layer, an antireflection layer, and an antistatic layer; and an alignment layer and a retardation layer in this order on the side opposite to the functional layer of the long acrylic resin base material. The functional layer has an average thickness of 40-95% of the height of the protrusions.
