PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that enables the fine adjustment of contact pressure of a nip part so as to prevent the occurrence of wrinkles to any of the different types of envelopes to securely fix a toner image, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: In an envelope mode, a pressing side end part 62 of an operation lever 60 presses a spring 40 through a contact part 22 of a pressure lever 20, so that the pressure lever 20 is rotated in an arrow R' direction. A circular arc part 23 of the pressure lever 20 is separated from a boss part 31 of a holder 30, and the elastic force of the spring 40 no longer acts on the holder 30; a pressure roller 13 is brought into contact with the pressure roller 12 with the elastic force of a spring 50 according to a locking position of a second end part 52 at a locking hole 21. |
