PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence observation apparatus, an endoscope system, a processor device, and an operation method with which quantitative diagnosis, etc. can be performed without regard to differences between individual specimens.SOLUTION: A fluorescence observation apparatus 10 comprises an oxygen saturation calculation unit 73, a reference region setting unit 74, a region-of-interest setting unit 75, a normalized fluorescence intensity calculation unit 76, and a fluorescent image generation unit 77. The oxygen saturation calculation unit 73 calculates the oxygen saturation of a specimen for each pixel. The reference region setting unit 74 sets the reference region of the specimen on the basis of oxygen saturation. The region-of-interest setting unit 75 sets the region of interest in the specimen. The normalized fluorescence intensity calculation unit 76 calculates the normalized fluorescence intensity, which represents the normalized emission intensity of the fluorescence, by dividing the fluorescence intensity of the region of interest calculated using the pixel values of the region of interest by a reference fluorescence intensity calculated using the pixel values of the reference region of fluorescent image signals obtained by imaging the specimen using fluorescence. The fluorescent image generation unit 77 generates a fluorescent image on the basis of the normalized fluorescence intensity. |
