PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which has light-emitting elements removing electric charge remaining on the surface of an image carrier and heat generators heating the image carrier from the outside mounted on a single substrate, and can efficiently heat the surface of the image carrier to effectively suppress the occurrence of image deletion without causing the deterioration of a photosensitive layer even when heating the image carrier in a stopped state for a long period.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes the image carrier, a charging device, an exposure device, a developing device, transfer means, a recording medium conveyance path, a cleaning device, the light-emitting elements, and the heat generators. The plurality of light-emitting elements are mounted on the substrate arranged between the recording medium conveyance path and cleaning device. The plurality of heat generators are mounted on the substrate on the side opposite to the side on which the light-emitting elements are mounted. The energization to the light-emitting elements and heat generators can be each individually turned on or off. |
