PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring kit which are capable of obtaining an allergen detection rate for which measurement inhibition caused by atmospheric dust is taken in consideration and knowing an allergen amount in the atmosphere more accurately.SOLUTION: In this measuring method, (a) an allergen-containing material containing a specified amount a of allergen is attached on a surface of an air-permeable filter, (b) a first region and a second region out of the air-permeable filter are exposed to the atmosphere to allow air to pass through the air-permeable filter, (d) an allergen detection rate (B-A)/a is obtained by using the specified amount a, an allergen amount A corresponding to an area of the second region which is obtained by an allergen extraction operation to the first region, and an allergen amount B obtained by the operation to the second region, and (e) an allergen amount X in the atmosphere is calculated according to an expression below by using the allergen detection rate.
