PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas separation membrane having a high scratch resistance and being hard to decrease in separation selectivity.SOLUTION: A gas separation membrane comprises: a separation layer containing a resin; and a protective layer formed on said separation layer. The oxygen atom ratio (unit: %) on the protective layer side of the separation layer is higher by 10% or more than the oxygen atom ratio of the separation layer (unit: %) on the side opposite to the protective layer.
