PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical and stable manufacturing method of polyester excellent in heat resistance and heat stability during molding.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of polyester including an esterification reaction and/or an ester exchange reaction of a dicarboxylic acid component (a) mainly containing dicarboxylic acid or an esterification derivative and a diol component (b) containing polycarbonate diol (b-1) having formulas (A) and/or (B) as a constitutional unit and diol (b-2) other than (b-1) and then a polycondensation reaction, and the polycarbonate diol (b-1) is added after initiation of the esterification reaction and/or the ester exchange reaction and before completion of the polycondensation reaction.
