PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a network load increases if a master unit frequently transmits/receives time-synchronous messages to/from a plurality of slave units, and that the master unit processing load increases if the master unit frequently performs PTP message processing.SOLUTION: Provided is a time synchronization system including: a master unit; and a plurality of slave units. The plurality of slave units each receive a first time synchronization message from the master unit. The master unit receives a second time synchronization message that is a response message to the first message from a representative slave unit among the plurality of slave units, processes the second time synchronization message, and transmits a third time synchronization message that is a response message to the second message to the time synchronization system. The slave units each correct time held therein on the basis of information contained in the first time synchronization message and the third time synchronization message. |
