<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a storage capacity for storing a place model on a terminal device side without sacrificing position estimation accuracy.SOLUTION: A place model updating device according to the present invention comprises: a generation unit for generating attribute data in which a place attribute is expressed by a place name and a data size of a place model and a place-to-place attribute is expressed by similarity between places; an extraction unit which, assuming each place from a current position to a first front to be members of a confirmed peripheral place list, each place from the first front to a second front to be members of a candidate peripheral place list, the current position of a terminal device to be a query, extracts a peripheral place by updating each place from the current position to the first front in attribute data which are members of the confirmed peripheral place list and each place from the first front to the second front in attribute data which are members of the candidate peripheral place list; and a transmission unit for transmitting, to the terminal device, the place model data of the extracted peripheral place, with a flag for enabling the extracted peripheral place to be identified as a place up to the first front being included in a peripheral place model.</p> |
