<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installing software and a program for installing software which, when installing software in a plant monitoring-and-control device, can reduce the possibility of committing an error in designating a device type, a station name, or an IP address and suppress a response time needed for restoration from the designation error.SOLUTION: When an installer program 6 is executed in a plant monitoring-and-control device 2n of a plant monitoring-and-control system 1, a station name of the plant monitoring-and-control device 2n to be installed is read out, and a device type is acquired from a system configuration definition file using the station name as a key. When the device type cannot be acquired, the device type is determined based on the station name in accordance with a prescribed rule, and the device type and the station name are stored in correlation with each other in the system configuration definition file. Software 7 is determined on the basis of the acquired or determined device type, and the determined software is installed in the plant monitoring-and-control device 2n.</p> |
